Swiss Army watches: Stylish, affordable, and innovative
The Victorinox Swiss Army company was started in Ibach, Switzerland in 1891 when Master Cutler Karl Elsener built the Swiss military a multi-functional army knife: the pocketknife.
The name "Victorinox" comes from a combination of Elsener's mother's name, "Victoria," and the term "inoxydable," meaning stainless. The company continued to produce high quality and innovative knives. These knives later showed up at NYC Museum of Art's permanent collection as well as NASA space explorations. In addition to being known for their high quality knives, they're also known and sought after for their valuable watches.
Swiss Army provides a number of high quality watch collections in several categories:
Active line: These watches have exceptional value and functionality and designed durable enough for adventuring yet stylish enough for everyday work.
Classic line: These watches are precise with a clean design, will be a sleek accessory for any type of business wear.
Professional line: The watches in this line feature high tech measurement capabilities.
Swiss Army also excels in accessories such as pocket watches, travel alarm clocks, and high-quality writing instruments.
Their latest innovation in watches is the Swiss Army’s Night Vision, introduced in Bienne, Switzerland, July 7, 2003. It is the world premier fusion of advanced lighting technology with Swiss precision. It has five lighting modes – Extended Light, Signal, Quick Search, Dial Illumination and an LED Locator Beacon, and was engineered to meet the everyday needs of urbanites and travelers alike, yet it also can assist in emergency situations.
